Home For The Holidays Berkeley Concert reviews
Mellencamps rocks the chicago theatre
The concert was really enjoyable. His band is very talented, with superb lead guitar and violin performers. The intro documentary provided a great insight into his life on the road and the making of his stripped-down album. Even though he mostly played his new songs, they were all very good. The Chicago Theatre was filled to capacity, and the rest of his hits really rocked the house. The set list ranged from acoustic to rock tunes, making for a full 2-hour show. I just wish he had played 'jack and diane' the original way, but oh well, the concert still rocked.
